"I would like to incorporate steel/iron into the mix considering Birmingham’s history. On top of that, the“Throwdown” aspect of it implies some kind of action or fight.”

CONCEPT

Create Graphics illustrating a Blacksmith in a stance that is suggesting he is forging a frisbee and “Throwing Down”a hammer. The Blacksmith stance also reflects how someone might prepare to throw a Frisbee.

BACKGROUND

Since the late 1970's, Alabama has been a powerhouse of the Southeast in the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, or more commonly called Ultimate. Every spring they host a tournament of 20-25 team from the Southeast's finest squads. The aptly named "T-Town Throwdown" has long been a staple in many schools spring schedules, such as Central Florida, Auburn, Vanderbilt, and LSU.
